Describe your Aquariums:

A 250 gallon 6 x 2.5 x 2.5ft with a 4ft sump and 3ft refugium. I fired her up 18th Oct 2009 and added 60kgs of live rock and 50kgs of home made(coral sand, portland white cement and salt cristals) and few Chromis to keep the system building. This week 29-11-09 all readings are stable so off to get some clean-up crew.

About me

I have been interested in marine aquariums for some 25 years almost as long as I have been married. My dream was to construct a Reef Aquarium when the kids left home. Well here I am with the 250gl just going through the new tank cycle (250gls of pea soup). I have been in engineering all my working life so constructing everything from the floor up was just a learning curve steep at times but bloody good fun. I hope to meet others of the same intrest both on line and in my area.
